================================================ Subject: [ Creed Discuss ] billboard awards From: "Lee Reed" To: Date: Tue 10 Dec 2002 01:19:41 -0500 ================================================ huh...so no comments, aside from nancy's query as to whether or not the band had played yet...well, then, i'll be bold...scott looks like crap...and it isn't all the steroids, either...i'll accept that excuse for the access hollywood thing...i think part of it is the haircut, maybe a small part the steroids (but i don't think that the docs would have put him on a long-term course of them, so i give that theory very small credit), but mostly, i just think he's put on the pounds...i thought that they sounded pretty good...how the hell do they keep scoring those open-air productions? i think it totally sucks that friggin nelly got artist of the year, but then again the whole thing was slanted from the start--i mean, c'mon, creed, nickelback, linkin park, and (to some degree) avril against all those hip-hop, rap artists...did rock and roll have half a chance? how about (i forget which category it was) when fred durst came out to present? i think we all knew for sure creed lost that one...i also thought that the tribute to run dmc sucked...they deserved a much more well-thought out tribute than the lame attempt to reproduce their collaboration with aerosmith turned out to be...hehe, how bout the rap guy that mispronounced toby keith's name, and then toby ended up the winner...got a real kick out of that one! 'k, so that's my take on the show...oh, btw, notice that mark said thanks to victoria? haven't heard much about the two of them, but obviously they're still going strong...
